Welcome to Hardcore Huskies!

We are an up and coming dog sled team with our kennel of more than 30 dogs located in Talkeetna Alaska.

We just completed our second Iditarod this year. In 2007, we finished in a little over 16 days; 56th out of 82 mushers. This year we did it two days faster in 14 days 1 hour 49 minutes. Not bad for a small kennel up against the big boys! We hope to continue that trend of improvement and one day compete for the big prize.

Bismarck`s Heather Siirtola finishes Iditarod

After 14 days, 1 hour and 49 minutes, Heather Siirtola and the Hardcore Husky Team arrived in Nome, Alaska, at 7:49 p.m. CST Sunday, finishing 74th out of the 79 teams remaining in the world`s most famous dog sled race, The Iditarod Trail.
